Iced coffees are traditionally made by pouring hot coffee over ice. However, to make cold brew, coffee grounds come in direct contact with water that is either room temperature or cold for twelve to twenty-four hours. Once the coffee grounds have finished soaking, the product can be mixed with more water to create a cold brew.
Unlike iced coffee, hot water is never used to create cold brews, which means the end product is less acidic and less bitter. Cold brews also tend to contain more caffeine, which means you can drink a smaller amount and will still get enough kick to make it through your workday without a yawn.

How To Create Nitro Cold Brew
Upscale coffee shops will inject nitrogen using a tap system, but you can use a cream whipper to create nitro cold brew inside your own home. A cream whipper is a pressurized canister in which you will place nine ounces of coffee grounds after steeping them for twenty-four hours.
When you’re ready, add three and a half cups of tap water to the mix, stir, and seal the whipper. Then insert the charger holder, allow the gas to release in the chamber, and add a second cartridge. Shake for thirty seconds to distribute the gas and let the mixture settle for five minutes.
You’re almost there! When the time is up, discharge the gas by pressing the canister lightly, recharge the cream whipper with two more cartridges, and let it stand for an hour. After discharging the gas again, put the mixture through a coffee filter. Now you have coffee concentrate!
Combine equal parts coffee concentrate with cold water, pour the cold brew back into the whipper, and seal the canister. Charge once more, shake once more, discharge once more, and drink!
