Brand Ambassador - CT, NY, WA, OR
RISE Brewing Co is looking for an energetic team member to help staff events and product demos. We are a nitro cold-brew coffee startup with award winning organic, non-GMO and kosher products. Think Guinness meets iced coffee, with a frothy head, no dairy and no additives. An infusion of nitrogen gives RISE its distinctive creamy cascade.
We distribute nitro cold brew coffee cans and kegs to grocery stores, offices, bars/restaurants and cafes throughout Oregon, Washington, Northern California, and the East Coast, and are always expanding. We are looking for brand ambassadors to not only serve coffee, but to convey our story to visitors to gain wholesale accounts and form new business partnerships.
Events/In-Store Demos: 1-4 per week (est. 5-25 hours weekly). Weekend availability is highly valued!
What you’ll do:
Serve delicious nitro cold brew coffee to our customers (It’s served like a beer from a tap, couldn’t be easier! We will also show you how to tap a keg & anything else necessary to run the shop, events or demos). Tell our brand story and educate customers about office delivery options or in store shoppers about our canned offerings. Have an upbeat attitude – customer service is key. You will host many demos and some events alone, so independent problem-solving skills and a high degree of integrity are critical. DESCRIPTION: RISE Brewing Co. is the fastest growing nitro cold brew coffee brand in the country. Launched in 2015, we have grown to 20+ employees, 5,000+ doors, and created award-winning SKUs that have distinguished us in a competitive, exploding category.
We are looking for someone to fill an important role at an important time in our company’s growth. This position will be part of RISE’s senior management team. Our ideal candidate has the following qualities:
• Serious finance chops. You’ve honed your skills at a top investment bank or accounting firm. Your spreadsheets are organized, complex yet navigable, and you favor Index Match over VLookups. You can speak finance to our CEO like he’s a 5th grader but to our investors like a Wall Street MBA. You can build an integrated cash flow model in a single sitting. You know how to code expenses. Accounting for deprecation, deferred revenue, prepaid expenses, and working capital is second nature. You can reconcile payments with ease. If a customer is behind on payment, you’re aware and on top of it.
• Beverage experience. You know how’d you’d design our chart of accounts. You’re familiar with the nuances of trade spend. You have an opinion on pricing strategy and you can describe the tradeoffs of DSD and broadline distributors with fluency and conviction. You can analyze a new distributor contract through a financial lens and offer insight to our executive team.
• Cultural fit. You may be coming from a bigger brand or firm, but you love getting your hands dirty. You can envision the system, build the system, and maintain the system. You have both high standards and high patience. You’re a self-starter that can operate (mostly) autonomously, speak up, and get what you need to do your job well.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This candidate will help address and solve the following:
• Distributer and retailer trade spend management.
• Bill payment.
• Partner with our tax accountant to assist with filings.
• Expense coding and reimbursement.
• AR / AP management.
• Financial (cash flow) modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Inventory accounting management.
• General ledger management and monthly financials preparation.

● Requires a BA, BS, or higher degree – CPA, professional accounting education, or graduate degree in finance.

● At least 2 years of food or beverage experience.

Store Manager of NYC RISE & Grind Cafes - LES, NoHo
RISE Brewing Co is a NYC local startup serving organic nitro cold brew coffee. Think Guinness meets iced coffee, with a frothy head, no dairy and no additives. An infusion of nitrogen gives Rise its distinctive creamy cascade.
The store manager is responsible for leading all team members in the efficient and profitable operation of all RISE current and future cafes. They are responsible for managing the day-to-day store operations, maintaining standards and protocols, and creating a positive environment for customers and employees.
We ask the Cafe manager to be an advocate of training, customer service, product knowledge and creating an awesome brand experience for everyone who walks in the door.
Work the cafe 3-5 times per week & able to work on the weekends (our busiest time)
Creates profit plans that are in-line with budgetary goals
Ensures and is accountable for profitability of the store by growing sales and controlling costs of goods, inventory levels, labor, supplies and expenses
Creates weekly reports analyzing sales trends
Works with other cafe employees to ensure proper scheduling
Maintains a clean well-merchandised store, following visual presentation standards
Facilitates on-going training and development of current staff
Promotes and practices safe work habits, identifying and resolving potential safety hazards, operational inconsistencies and any team member or customer incidents
Pro-active in identifying opportunities to grow store sales
Tastes drink and food products on a regular basis for quality.
Provides ongoing training and ensures RISE recipes are being properly followed.
Can handle and serve both food and coffee products.
Builds morale and team spirit by fostering a positive work environment
Motivates and develops team members, establishing specific performance objectives
College education preferred
Cafe/Restaurant manager experience (2 years minimum)
Proficient on a computer; familiar with software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Well-organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task and make effective decisions
Must be able to lift up to 30lbs
Must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Field Marketing & Events Coordinator/Manager - NYC/CT preferred, open to remote candidates
This an entrepreneurial role in a fast-paced, fast-growing F&B startup. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter and strong collaborator with great organizational and communication skills. This position calls for a digitally-savvy individual who can work independently and is hungry to grow our trending brand and its community. The ideal candidate will secure & develop national marketing opportunities to build image and brand awareness, focused on in person event activations and the RISE Brewing Co. digital & social media presence. This is a great position for a person who is flexible, versatile, detail-oriented, and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Establish a clear and compelling strategy for events, and develop processes and benchmarks for measuring success, and creating authentic and memorable brand impressions
Manage event planning, including: operations plans, permitting, and vendor/contract negotiations
Manage coordination of in-store demos by Brand Ambassadors and manage / deploy demo agencies as needed
Plan, execute, and attend East Coast events, often requiring night and weekend work (with Brand Ambassador and team staff, as needed)
Plan, execute, and staff events across the country (with Brand Ambassador and team staff -- potentially travel & attend as needed, definitely travel in home territory)
Evaluate future event opportunities and vet & manage larger scale events + partnerships (ie: USA Surfing and USA Bouldering sponsorships)
Manage to a tight budget & keep a goal of a high penetration of in-kind only eventsManage requests for in-kind and charitable donations
Provide weekly/monthly activity reports recapping events executed and upcoming programs
Hire and train Brand Ambassador staff, and must have ability to manage remove staff effectively
Manage all trade show set-up and logistics
Participate in Branding as needed, including taking requests & soliciting feedback from the team for all collateral and swag, including: Booth Display, POS, Demo Kits, Swag, Sales Collateral, etc.
Preferred: 1+ years experience in events and promotional work, ideally in the CPG industry, but open to strong self-starters early in their career
